Pattern Painting Collection!

Today (10.19.25), I  launched a collection of seventeen unique paintings that I have deemed the Pattern Painting Collection. It has been such a joy working on these paintings throughout the last month-or-so. They combine my passion for pattern-design and my painting practice.

I went into working on this collection with no preconceptions of what it would end up like at the end, and no intense plan or coordination between each piece other than that they are each a different pattern painted. I typically have notes, detailed plans, and trials for a collection, but I wanted to do this one differently to challenge my own creativity and process. I let each painting speak to me as I went, each having its own feel, and what resulted is an imperfectly matched collection of seventeen works. They are all united by a practice to “let go” of a plan and just create for the sake of creating. 

I have some Pattern Painting commissions, Fields Painting commissions, and Illustrations that I will be working on throughout November and December, possibly into January, but I will be taking a break from painting otherwise for a couple of months. The past painting-filled months have inspired me and have given me the creative freedom I’ve been craving.

Outside of my Painting and Illustration commissions (which I am so excited to do, and please inquire if you would like to commission a piece!), I am looking forward to focusing on and growing my line of products created with my original patterns (ie, prints) and collaborations. For as long as I can remember, I have dreamt about my art, products, and collaborations, and it has been inspiring to finally have the time to think about them, intentionally plan, and partner with some amazing people and brands to get it all going. And I am beyond thankful for the continued encouragement from my family, friends, and supporters to keep at it. What’s coming? Think textiles, home accessories & unique hosting items, wallpaper, paper products…  all to bring joy and color to the details of your life and spaces.

Dedicating my career to my own business and art has (so far) been the biggest blessing and possibly one of the best things I’ve ever decided to do. I can’t wait to see where everything is at in a month, six-months, and a year from now (and beyond)!
