In this Blog: Holiday Guide 2025 featuring 20 artists!

I have lost count on how many AAT Guides I have curated, but I am very excited for this one for many reasons. A few of them being:

1) As I write this guide, I am currently having an ideal cozy-winter moment in my living room. The perfect set up for the AAT Holiday Guide! This is a moment I’ve been recreating over and over since temps dropped under 40 degrees. I am sitting in my living room wrapped in one of my favorite blankets by the fireplace surrounded by our lit up Christmas decor and our record player humming along in the background. And to top it off,  the scent of my favorite seasonal coffee filling the air (O’henry’s Christmas Blend Roast— if you’re an only black coffee drinker like me this is the closest we’ll get to a triple-mocha-peppermint-dolce-caramel starbucks holiday drink with it still being just black coffee. Perfect moment to me for some long over due AAT writing!

 2) While AAT is a very tiny (ever growing) corner of the internet, it has continually encouraged me the last 5+ years and, at times, even held me up when my creative muscles felt exhausted in my own art practice. It is endlessly inspiring to see amazing artists & designers keep doing their thing, innovating, and creating art that stops me in my scrolling-tracks. And I love connecting with artists, learning about their art, and connecting artists to other artists (and buyers!). If you're an artist and reading this, I'd love to hear from you and learn about your art!

3) I love the art in this guide so much! And I hope you do too.

Artist websites and Instagram handles are included below the image. Follow the artists you love, tell them you love their art, order from them, & commission from them! And I encourage everyone to start a note in their phone or journal of artists they love and have come across to come back to– maybe start it today with this guide (or maybe not– just an idea!) And a reminder– original art makes the perfect, most thoughtful gift for Christmas (or any other gifting reason)!

And if you haven’t already, it’s never too late to start your own art collection or to start buying art as gifts– and I think it’s important to remind here that your art collection can start with the smallest print from your favorite artists and grow from there. If you need guidance on where to begin, where to find art in your budget, or where to find art that you’re looking for, please feel free to shoot me a message on AAT instagram or through a website inquiry. I’d love to help! And if you’re asking yourself, “ Where do I even start to look for original art?”... start with the twenty artists below…..

Without further ado, the Artist’s, Art, & Things Holiday Guide 2025! (in no particular order)

Thank you for reading along and viewing the Artist, Art & Things Holiday Guide!

If any of the art above struck you with awe, made you feel happy (or feel anything!), or made you simply think, “wow that’s cool/neat/fun/colorful/interesting” or “I want that in my house/business, " then follow these artists on instagram, explore their websites, and if you’re feeling like adding to your own art collection possibly purchase a piece from them! And if you are not ready to purchase, start your own digital collection by screenshotting your favorite artworks to save for later— so that when you are ready you know where to begin!

Hope you enjoy the happiest holidays wherever you are spending them!!!

Sofia Darras Studio/ AAT Outside the Studio Update: After a long (happy) week of hosting our families for thanksgiving, I am excited for a slow December at home sprinkled with holiday parties. This month seems like the perfect mix of cozy moments at home and getting all dressed up (which I love to do). I am looking forward to baking more holiday goods and trying more holiday recipes. I made homemade mac-n-cheese for the first time for thanksgiving and it was a crowd favorite (somewhat surprising because I am basically vegan). I am also wrapping up my own “books” for 2025— Illustration, Pattern, and Painting Commissions– and getting SO excited for all that’s to come in 2026.

Thanks for being here! Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until next time,

Sofia
